My passion is to empower people like yourself to transform their health, reduce stress and bring calmness to your everyday life.  As a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist , I believe it is essential to support both mind and body in order to feel great and enjoy a happy and healthy life.  I use a holistic approach that includes nutritional therapy, stress resiliency techniques, herbal medicine, breathwork and health coaching.  Good health comes from a combination of many things - there is no magic pill!   

 

I will help you reconnect and discover your joy of food and the pleasure it can bring without any guilt whatsoever.  I think about food A LOT (yes, I even dream about it and my nickname is "Mrs Enthusiastic" about food)!  What if you could eat the most delicious food every day and never again feel guilty about food?  What if I told you that you could still eat chocolate, drink wine and enjoy a dessert after your dinner? (Yes, it's absolutely possible)!  This is all part of a balanced, moderate approach to food and health - it can be your reality and, trust me, you will absolutely love the new you that comes from making small changes bit by bit.  I began studying nutrition when my 2 children were babies because I knew there had to be more to food than just great tasting flavours and I wanted to understand how food can help support and heal our bodies.  

I will help you feel more energetic, sleep better, feel calmer, maintain a healthy weight and get your mojo back for life while still enjoying delicious food everyday.

 

Many of my clients came to me feeling fed up and exhausted, overweight, run down or struggling with health issues for years but not knowing where to turn to for help.  I know how you feel because I've been there myself and worn the t-shirt many times around.  You too can take back control of your body and health, feel more energetic every day, less overwhelmed and enjoy a great night's sleep even when lack of time, motivation or old habits seem to get in the way  (yes, even I lack motivation myself sometimes and need a good old kick up the bum)!   The saying "put your own oxygen mask on first" is so true. You can't help those around you if you don't help yourself first!  I have a very personal interest in stress management as I have seen many times that when we switch off the stress tap for clients, their health automatically starts to improve with even small, simple changes to their lifestyle.  I use breathwork and stress management techniques as a starting point and this has been the deal-breaker for all my clients in seeing great results in the longer term.

As a Chef for many years, I am hugely passionate about food and I have seen the effect that wholesome food has on health in my own family.  I'm a Mum to 2 teens myself so I understand about trying to put into place practical changes to your eating habits that suit the whole family with no need to cook separate meals.  My approach to health is uncomplicated and designed to suit the whole family - young and old taking family favourite dishes and give them a tweak!

 

I live by the 80/20 rule myself (this approach to eating is all about balance and indulging without guilt which leads to a healthy relationship with food) and enjoy delicious food daily.  And yes, I love my red wine, dark chocolate and desserts also (I'm a trained pastry chef also)!  I have also had my own health issues over my lifetime and I know how frustrating it can be trying to find answers when nothing is showing up on blood tests.  Using a combination of food, lifestyle practices and breathwork, I now feel healthier and happier than I have felt throughout my whole life. I make sure I practice what I preach each day to my own clients.  

I have a keen personal interest in the effect of stress on our long-term health  and I am a Certified Transformational Breath® Facilitator and Group Leader and Heartmath Add Heart® Facilitator using our breath as a tool for healing, increasing resilience and promoting a more compassionate outlook in our lives towards both ourselves and others around us.  

Qualifications include:

  • Diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy - College of Naturopathic Medicine (4 years including 1 year to complete my Clinical Supervisor qualification)

  • Applied Functional Medicine Mentoring Programme (AFMMP). 

  • Certified Transformational Breath Facilitator and Group Leader®

  • Heartmath Add Heart® Facilitator

  • Bridging the Gap Nutrition and Herbs certified

I am a registered member of BANT (British Association of of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine), CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP)
